Dr. Wayne F. Penttila, DDS
Founder and managing partner of West Richland Family Dental Center
Wayne was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1974, Washington State University in 1978, and the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry in 1983. Wayne built West Richland Family Dental Center and opened for business in October of 1983. He brought the first health care facility to West Richland and the community has embraced his practice from the beginning. Growth has been constant and steady and at times very rapid as West Richland has grown from a small town of 2700 residents to its current population of over 11,000.
Wayne chose to expand and add additional Dentists to meet the growing demand for dental services as West Richland and the surrounding Tri-Cities grew. As the practice grew, Wayne’s clinical time decreased as his management responsibilities grew. After three expansions to the facility and the addition of five full time dentists, Wayne has his hands full maintaining the facility and the staff of 42 in order to continue to provide the quality of care that the patients of WRFDC have grown to expect. Wayne is very thankful for having found five other like minded dentists who have chosen to share a facility and philosophy to provide quality dentistry in a group setting.
Wayne and Sheryl currently live in Richland and have five children and one grandchild between the two of them. In their free time, Wayne and Sheryl can be found tail-gaiting at WSU or at meadow Springs working on their golf game or traveling to any sunny location to work on their tans.

He completed his B.S. degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from Eastern Washington University, and completed dental school at UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska. He and his family loved Lincoln, as its people and city were very similar to the Tri-Cities.
After dental school Dr. Larson returned home to the Tri-Cities, where he enjoys treating many of the people he has known here over the years, and as always he enjoys meeting and treating new people as well. West Richland Dental is a great practice, and what sets it apart is the people.
In his free time, Dr. Larson can be found outdoors. Kayaking, cycling, climbing, running, tennis, wakeboarding, and skiing are some of the ways he spends most of his free time. Getting his wife and 4 children to join him in these adventures makes them even better.
